Step 1: Measure your surface

Walk the area and measure every ledge, sign edge, or railing where birds are landing. Bird spikes are sold in strips, so add up the total linear footage you'll need — it's cheaper to order once than to reorder for a missed section.

Step 2: Pick the right spike density and material
